You can ask the sway issue on the 40 section. They will know the answer.
IMOP the idea of the sleeves is it returns it to stock with new pistons and rings.
so the clearances should be close. Just a hone away from stock.
But it's not that simple.
If you do that part, you have to do the head/valvetrain/oil pump/cooler/rebuild the injection pump/nozzles/re do the oil spray nozzles/ check all the front end stuff.
Expect to spend 4k. Or abouts. Do it on the cheapie 3k.
To rebuild it completely it is a lot more than the kit.
SO 4 k for a 3b indriect injected engine or

see the long blocks. Yes your transmission mounts to it. It is a direct replacement. The 13b-t is a 3b with a turbo and direct injection.
So for 2k more or less than a real rebuild you are into a wayy more powerful engine.
If I was rebuilding an engine, I would skip it and buy a 13b-t.
But if I had a 400,000 kms or so engine than ran fine and had good compression I would leave it be. Do the servicing and paint the block to look nice and revel in the fact that these are well built engines designed to go for half a million miles.
but save my pennies for 13b-t. Cause you know a diesel needs a turbo. And your fresh 3b is going to need to be turbo'd too. An AXT turbo runs 3K.... A junkyard DIY 1k.
Soo your almost at the price of a Japan take out low KM 13b-t
