Got the new Trxus MT's mounted today. It is so good to be back to Trxus, they are spinning perfectly with the 5.29's and super quiet at 75 mph. I feel like I have my truck back again, I just love this tire. No more tire testing for me.

On the highway the 37's really feel no different than the 35" Trxus MT's did, and with this being a pretty narrow tire at the tread they actually feel better than the wide 35" Toyos they replaced in terms of power even though they are 3 lbs heavier. I'm not really noticing anything material in terms of braking power compared to the Toyos.

It's getting dark and these aren't great pics, I'll post up some better ones once the snow stops and we get some sun again.

Crazy that you can fit 37's on an 80 with moderate lift. Congrats

Looking dead sexy!!

Any wheels spacers or fitment parts?

Where is the wheel travel?? Doesn't look like much compression room. I don't want to get into it with you Nay but with my 4.5-5" of lift I've got nearly identical compression to extention running 36's. I'd imagine a skinny 37 would stuff just as well. Maybe the tire testing is done and it's spring/lift testing time again. :)

Looks pretty cool though.

There's a bit of lean on the driveway and it's compressed some on that side, so it looks like less than it is.

Tire to fender is 5.5". Axle to bumpstop is just under 5" with my existing 2" bumpstop drops. Center of hub to fender is 24" on all four corners, factoring in that without flares you wrap the tape measure around the tire and that adds a little bit of extra length.

So it does not look like I need any extra bumpstop length for straight compression, will have to see how it stuffs, it is all going to be very tight, but I'll tweak as needed to ensure I can't get compression hit at any speed on the fenders. :steer:

Edit: I also meant to say that this post is not meant to say that 37's fit clean - I don't know that yet and these are some pretty tall tires. I have no wheel spacers, so they will rub in the rear on the frame for sure at this point, and other clearances are going to be pretty tight, of course, an eight of an inch clearance won't rub any more than a 2" of clearance, and I'll post up more as I test it.

Nay, you need a bigger lift...you can give me the FOR that you have now:flipoff2:

looks great, we need some action shots.

Looks great!! :D

Just would hate to get down a 37 from the rack. You need a ladder! lol.

No kidding. That's actually the old 35x10.5 SSR up there in the pic, I don't have a 37" spare yet. A 100 lbs of tire and rim comes down pretty easily (the rear tires are the ladder :D), it's up that's no fun

Looking real nice, chief!

Are you sure you live in the mountains of Colorado it looks like summer at yer place?

This is what it looks like here...

Either way, it's not sticking around much during the day, so I'll probably pull off the studs and mount uup the Trxus next week as well!

You headed to CM09? I've got a bumper sticker for ya (GREEN VEHICLE Bumper sticker from Zazzle.com):hillbilly:

Seriously, it looks awesome! I can't wait!

P.S. Did ya check out my new vents.:grinpimp:

No mountains for me, only top of the Palmer Divide, we were so dry in the winter that it all melted off in early March. I think I'll be able to shoot that snow pic tomorrow :D, but it's gone in a heartbeat now in the April sun.

Get those bad boys mounted up, you are going to love them. Interco now has a big ole sticker on the tire stating to inflate to 65 PSI once mounted and they so far seem better balanced then my old 35" Trxus were running @ 75 mph (yep, I'm hauling ass now :flipoff2:). I've got it up on jackstands for 24 hours to let 'em sit and then I'll drop the PSI down.

I can't make CM09, which is a huge bummer - work is in the way this year, and I have some front end work to do since my nutz fell out on the DS. I hope to be out your way for perhaps a Triple Bypass run in August, and then hopefully Moab in Oct. We'll see...

Edit: OK, this morning I live in the mountains again :D

I dropped the PSI to 33 this afternoon, the 37's are riding extremely smooth and quiet, overall nicer than the Toyos probably due to the softer compound.

The extra width of the Toyo MT so far feels like a much bigger impact to road use than the extra height of the skinnyish 37's. I would never know I had 37's on compared to having just removed 35's.

Of course, I haven't done any long trips yet and I was just out driving a combination of 8" of slush and wet pavement, but so far the move up to 37's has resulted in a better overall road experience. But that's one thing I have always loved about Trxus - the tread contact patch at road PSI is not more than 10", so you don't feel the impact of a wide tire or big outer lugs. And they are so quiet, it is so nice.

Now I just have to get them stuffed and see how they really fit. At 33 PSI they are 36" tall using a 48" level to measure.

I know your green machine is much lighter than mine, but I'm imagining I'll be running 45-50psi.

With your initial road report, I'm thinking I'll be able to set the cruise control on I-70 at 82, which previously would have been nearly 90 on my uncorrected speedo and very high RPMs.

I don't think you'll like them that high - you'll be too much on the center of the tire and they will float. But of course try 'em out and see what works :steer:

Ah, excellent. Yes, Green powa!
