Well, before I put my precious FJ40 on the lift…I tested it out using my Chevy pickup….it works great

@Michael B Frankly, I love it. It is several safety features that I was more concerned with that focused my interest on this model. I can store 2 vehicles…one underneath and one on top very securely. It has heavier cables than others, the four posts make it stable and I don’t need to be adjusting arms on the floor to match a chassis width, it has double safety stops in the event and is not a C channel post but a 4 sided more secure post. I have been an oil changer on a set of ramps, cardboard and in a dirt driveway for decades. This is a big difference. I hope I have a lot of time to enjoy it…

by the way. The 8N tractor has proven its’ worth for me… tore down an old 16x12’ shed, loaded it the bucket and dropped it all in the dumpster

Forgot to add, this lift has cantilevered casters so if you plug them onto each post, lower the lift….the weight of the runways lifts it off the floor and with 1 hand, you can roll it around the floor so it’s not stuck in any spot you place it

Does the 4 post lift have some form of option to be able to work on axles avoiding all the weight on the wheels? I am lift illiterate but learning. @WarDamnEagle has the type I am most likely going to go with but i want to learn about all my options.

Love testing the lift with the chevy, why risk the Toyota!

@greenbeast yes…There are a few. It comes with a 4500 lb rolling Jack stand that you can position under an axle and use a Jack to raise it…there are also two optionAl rolling jacks that use either a hydraulic hand pump or an air powered pump. Go to their website advantagelifts.com and check out the options. I also bought this last July on sale for $1,000.00 off. The whole thing was about $6400.00 They delivered it… they said between 8am and 10am. Ther were here at 8:07 gone in 20 minutes

@greenbeast here are the included drip trays, I found the plastic tray in a dog crate fits PERFECTLY… and there is the rolling jack plate. They give you 4 drip trays incase you want to store another vehicle underneath

these 4 dowels are actually stops to limit the travel of the rolling Jack plate. I put them on the extreme ends so it allows full travel.

Tore down the old shed with the 8N tractor and between the two of us, loaded it all into the 20 yd. Dumpster . Her part seemed easier than mine.

Well Crew,

was going full power with getting some things done. The 20 yard dumpster is full with about 2 yards to still add. Place is looking cleaner than it has in 15 years. When you live out of nowhere, it gets easy to just drop stuff where it lies and it stays for years. So it is shaping up

got the second shingles vaccine Saturday and the side effects were very powerful. Chills, fever, nausea body aches, joint aches no taste or smell….WHAT?

no taste or smell. My brother conveniently said .” Hey did you test for Covid?”…never thought about that…. So I did

Damn!!!! Started Paxlovid and slept 19 hours in one night and 18 hours the next night with a few blurring movements of The price is right and cbs news ,,,,,,,suck,, when and old guy is making progress, don’t make him stop…you may never see that burst again.

Hope you feel better quickly!! For the record I’ve had many patients have significant side effects with the second Shingrix shot. But getting Covid at same time just isn’t fair!!!

I can relate. I came down with Covid again 2 weeks ago and it was real harsh, wouldn't go away. I was beat down exhausted with constant chills. I also have a bad Thyroid so got tested and turns out Covid furthered the damage to my Thyroid. Adjusted my meds and now I'm normal again, but there went two weeks.

@PIP sorry to read that,., i don’t feel too bad except for the weakness and chills. Today though I lost taste and smell. That sucks because we like food. Had a piece of white pizza today with garlic and broccoli for lunch… whole clove roasted garlic and when my wife brought it home she said “. Wait till you smell this”…then NOTHING
