33" Spare Tire Fit Underneath?

I have a P285/70/r17 32.8" tire... it seems to fit, but it is touching that bracket... but it looks like it SHOULD be touching it for reasons stated before about the other spare not going forward too much. Can anyone tell me a trick to make sure my tire is mounted under there properly?

Reach up through the spokes after winching it into position and feel whether the four rubber bumpers on the bracket are contacting or an even distance from the wheel rim.

Realistically it is pretty hard to get this wrong.. as long as it’s not swinging or twisting too much when tightening things it should go right into position.
