Hey everybody

Please don't hate me for posting this but I've looked through lots of threads and I can't find any pictures to help me with this one.

I am about to get my 2.5" OME kit and I want to get some new tires at the same time. I really want goodyear duratracs but I currently am running the stock alloy 15x7 rims which keeps me from running the 33x12.5. I know this is specific but does anyone have pictures of 31 duratracs on with a 2.5" lift? Or am I dreaming???

I know I could get 33x10.5 BFGs but I really don't want the tall skinniness.

Anyway...sorry again if I missed a thread with this info.

Thanks for your help in advance

Relax. Don't do it!
The skinnies would be a better choice. Or wait to find some 16s and go to 315s. They would look so good on that lift! Just my .02

Dang

I kinda figured this would be my answer. It's so hard to wait! Anyone want to trade me their 16"s for my 15"s

Why would the stock rims keep you from running the 33-12.50 tires? I've seen plenty of them on 15x7 rims. I ran a set on stock rims on my '89 Yota pickup for years.

FWIW, I used to run 33x12.5x15 on stock 60-series wheels (6 inches wide). I know it's not recommended, but the truck drove fine and didn't blow up and kill me. If you really want 33x12.5, just get them. It'll be OK, just might get a little bit accelerated center wear. Handling was also a little sloppy with the fat tires on skinny wheels, but it was also a 200k+ stock suspension cruiser, so all the bushings were shot.

I guess because every thread I've read has said most tire places won't mount 12.5s on a 7. For some reason I took it as though it's dangerous haha.

I take it you never had any issues?

Usually if you just take the tires in with the wheels not mounted on the car, most places will do it. Especially the smaller mom and pop tire places.

How about BFG AT KO2 33.10.5x15? That's what I'm running on one of my 80s the truck is running on factory suspension and they are great!
Don't know if Goodyear makes that size.
