315/75r16 Nitto Trail Grapplers

16x8 Pro Comp 69 Series wheels powder coated flat black

OME 2.5” lift with heavy front coils and 400kg rear leafs, caster correction bushings, extended brake lines, and rear sway bar drop brackets

4.30 gear ratio

At 70mph in 5th gear the Troopy is at 2,600 rpm, 700* egt’s

I used to have 285’s and the Troopy had more pep than it does now with 315’s, but the rpms came down at highway speeds as well as making 1st gear a little bit longer.

When the Nitto’s reach the end of their life, I plan on dropping to 305’s

Not judging you dude !

All good in the hood dude; I should really look after it. This spring is 15 years of ownership, since getting from Japan.

Here how my lift story ends ..

I just " finish " the painful process of dealing with superior for a 4" lift kit for my 76 series ..

Using the rear Dobinson 8 Leaves springs they sent this was the result

needless to say that's not what I was looking for .. so I got to replace the rears with OME CF057R with better results ..

My target will be a complete leveled rear end after rear ( Kaymar ) bar it's fitted and spare tire mounted in the single swing out on the Kaymar.

Front coils are Dobinson C59-458 which are listed as 4" super heavy duty coils ( 80 - 120 kg )

I'm very happy with the front Height and get her leveled to the front height.

Wonder what happened to the rear springs that Superior sent to me ?

IMHO they sen't me the wrong springs ( those are listed or not listed in their web as 300 kg spring pack ) as I stated before the order was place and through the hole process ( like a month or more and this was part of the painful process with SE ) that my rear end was stock and I wanted my 76 leveled and as soft as possible in the rear.

I know it's a complicated mission since the 76 factory have a rear hard rock suspension

According to them the springs are correct and the coils are not .. so I'm here to ask you who have a 4" on a 76 - 79 series to take measurements from your wheel to your fender to know what are you getting as 4" lift kit

thanks in advance ..

If I remember correctly 16x8" neg22, I fitted 80 series rear hubs and associated parts to widen the rear track as the 315s scrubbed on the rear leafs when turning

Reviving this thread.

Here is a pic of a diesel 75 pickup from Australia with 315/75/16 Falken Wildpeak M/T tires. Not sure of any further details other than that. But I lust over this setup.
