those out there runnin them do you still have steering stops ??? do they hold up to POUNDING them with out em or should they be keeped ...I want less turning radius :steer:

I'm running only the 27 splines and I just tight complete inside my steering stops.. but I have a front ARB and I only use it when I needed, and I don't do plenty of rocks anycase ..

I moved my stops in when I added the hydro and 40s... I have a little less steering radius but I'd rather have to back up once or twice more rather than pop a birf.

Kling-On I have them and have not had a problem yet and you see how I wheel. Oh yeh and I dont have any stops, Full turning and no problems':steer:

YA I DO ...so you kill tie rods but the longs are ok :grinpimp:

I guess I will pill my adjuster out and try it with that :steer:

Funny you say that, that tie rod and drag link lasted for almost 5 years and 3 of those were with the ram. It was just tired:flipoff2:

x2 like him

30-spline longs, 4x4Labs histeer, hydro assist, no stops whatsoever...

haven't replaced a thing in the front axle, and my only 'issue' is a bent housing.....

Bobby is amazed that I haven't busted the longs, and they ARE in rough shape, but they hold up awesome!

if you've got hydro assist or full hydro, then how you set up the ram decides your steering radius, if you try to use the steering stops to stop the ram then something's gonna get bent up.....i just cut my stops off

I use the stops more as a "reference". I can feel when I get to the stop and then I try not to "push" past it.

which cilinder you use dude .. ? and with this cilinder 6" X 1.50" .. ? you have enoght turning ratio ..? ( and can go beyond the factory stops ..? )

yes, that is the cylinder I used (got it from the surplus center). It can move slighty more than the stops.

Thanks .. that's I was thinking .. next proyect on Tencha ..

You'll love hydro assist. Its a great steering stabilizer and honestly just makes wheeling with a front locker a lot easier. I'd even recommend it do guys running 35s.

well i played with it this weekend and my ram is the limiting factor even with out atops that all shes got  but I do turn better than the D60 14blt guys I wheel with so its all good :steer:
