Just curious - having owned mine since 2008 ... somewhat ready and itching for a new ride ...

Are we 2 years away or longer ???

no idea, but based historically my best guess would be a 300 series for 2019. I've read more than one article on it being some type of hybrid, but I think those are just complete guesses:D

100 Series was introduced in 1998, slight refresh in 2005.
200 Series was introduced in 2008, slight refresh in 2012 (as a 2013 model), and slightly more substantial refresh (mostly interior) in 2016.

Based on that, the earliest you'll see a 300-series is late 2019 as a 2020 model, and it's entirely possible it may be 2021 or 2022.

I disagree - 100 series had a refresh in 2003 and then 2006. 200 series had one in 2013 and 2016. If history follows thru, should be a 300 series in late 2017 as a 2018 MY. 80 series took a similar path. 100 series introduced as a 98; 200 series as a 2008; 300 series as 2018 is my prediction.

I believe the 300 will be released with the iPhone 8. Just speculating o_O

The only thing I'm CERTAIN OF regarding the LC 300:

-It will be released about 5 years before I'll be able to afford a used one. ;)

Thats basically what I am thinking as well....

2008 - 2018 run for the 200 series ...

With the 18's coming out in late 2017

I can hold out another year or so ..

Will only have 120k miles on my rig by then... :)

I searched land cruiser 300 and found this rendering.

I just puked - looks like an infinite....that artist needs to be "let go"

I would not put any stock in that rendering, which most likely did not originate from Toyota or from anyone with any inside knowledge.

we know that - Mr. T runs a tighter ship than our government

They do indeed. Toyota plays their cards very close to their chest.

It's hard to imagine how Toyota manages it, considering how long they take to develop the LC series in particular. 5 years development or so...one would think it would be nearly impossible. But...they seem to pull it off. I don't remember seeing accurate spy photos of the 200 until VERY close to release.

I am figuring that I will get a new one in 2020 if all goes right. But if it looks like that HELL NO! I am not sure how I feel about a hi-bread, but I would love to see a diesel in the states. But then again I only have 95k on my 09 so it should no stress.

Super crazy in this day and age with camera's everywhere that they could keep it hidden. Funny more of the "American" brands seem to have spy shots way before the release date, maybe that's on purpose, or maybe that's just the way it seems in my head:)

Looks a bit like you put the FJ Cruiser's grill onto a LC--not that that would be a bad thing.

Would like it more if you exposed more tire and raised the bumper at least near the wheel wells.

It doesn't look bad, but I think maybe a profile/side drawing might be more intriguing around here, since departure angles are more helpful cues than the look from behind or in front.

What do you think?
