3 B oil line

i have been working on my 3B this week. i mounted my alternator and the oil line that runs from oil cooler to the vac pump on rear or alternator is too short. it is a flexible line about 3/8 inch. it has fittings on each end that a bolt runs through. my line is 7 1/2 inches. i am 2 inches short. do i have the wrong alternator or what?

Hey mate, i just poped outside and measured mine. Its close enough to 10" (25cm). You might be able to get a custom hose made if you take them the one you have, as its only the ends they need. Any hydraulic repairer should be able to handle that.

Sorry to report...that i found 2 of those oil lines that are about 10" long, but they are both attached to good running 3B engine's and at this time i am not willing to start taking parts off complete engine's...i can get new but they will be more $$$
