3.8L F or a 4.2L 2F? (1 Viewer)

I picked up the drive train pulled from a buddies cruiser. How can I tell the difference between the F and the 2F motors?

The only casting I see on the block.

Frankenstein of some kind. 1f valve cover, 2f carb, no AI ports in the head, '87' casting. Not sure.

I had those headers on my first rig when I bought it. With a pair of short cherry bombs it sounds like an old 240z. I liked it, but went back to stock.

There is a serial number stamped on a ledge above and foward a bit from the starter

If it was a 2F the serial number would start with 2F

It looks like an F motor to me.
