Looking for 3.73's to swap into my 62. I can trade the 4.10's from mine, parts from/or a whole 3FE or a A440F and T-case or cash.

I'm in north central Florida (Gainesville 32608)

I have a set but I'm in Idaho. I'm assuming you want complete thirds?

Hi:

I have a 3.7 ratio third member from the front axle of a '83 BJ60 I would sell for $75.

These chunks are *heavy* so shipping will be $$.

"PM" me if interested.

Regards,

Alan

Thanks for the replies guys. This is my first swap, so I don't know all that's necessary and what's not. I'm looking for all that's needed and nothing more. I'll be re-using the 62 axle, just replacing the gears and shafts (I assume that's all that's needed).

If I could get a weight estimate and zip from you guys I can get some prices for shipping and get the ball rolling on this.

Thanks again for the replies.

The shafts should be the same so no need to get those unless you are running really large tires.

Thanks, so all I need is the gears? I just need to pull these diffs apart and familiarize myself with the internals.

I appreciate the info.

Hi All:

The set-up of the ring & pinion gears in an axle differential is very involved and expensive for the average home mechanic.

The "drop out" third members that Toyota uses allows the home mechanic to swap axle gear ratios without having to mess with the R&P set-up.

Regards,

Alan
