I was wondering if the 3.7 to 1 ratio of teh HJ61 was good enough to pull 35 inch tyres or if i realy need to go 4.10 to one? What's stock on the FJ?

Thanks a lot guys and best regards.

Max.

satamax,
try the international forum- lots of diesel gearing info there. With the turbo diesel you might be able to pull it off but it will be well outside of the power band. I would personally run at least 4.11 and even something bigger with that tire size. I run a 2h, h55, 3.73's with 33's and I am barely cutting it.

Hey dude .. when I had my HJ-60 ( 2H engine ) + H55F + 33" + 3.70 need some little more power, then I grow up to 4.11 perfect convination for me. short history I mean you best overal R&P gearing is 4.11, and maybe in the near future your wnat 4.56 to get better crawling options ..

I have the 2H, H55F and 4.11 and mine is adequate at best. If you have the 12HT and want to run H55F and 35'2 I would go at least 4.11, possibly 4.56.
