Hi, 3.0 Mercruiser has no spark, New auto zone gold 27 battery. Turns over fine, has gas. Starter solenoid has good 12 volts , But no spark at plugs. Coil ? Tach ? Resistance wire ? Thanks, Mike

Coil good, Continuity from coil tower to pos. and neg. Purple solid and purple with yellow stripe getting very hot that are attached to pos. side of coil. Still looking....If I'm in this far thinking about going ahead and installing Delco Voyager est system. Has anyone done this and do you like it? Thanks, Mike

That motor uses a ground to kill, in addition to a positive to provide coil ignition. Check your kill switch. Unplug both sides of it and try again. First test of any no fire boat situation is kill switch elimination test. Let me know how it goes.
Did the trigger wheel for the electronic ignition die?
Could be ignition module firing the coil
never heard of an anchor needing spark
What year is it? can you send me a serial number?
