2H turbo question on style HELP QUICK

Looking at buying a turbo for my HJ60 left hand drive and have 24hrs to do so. My question is there is two styles of turbos, one that fit along left side of the block that uses a U pipe to the factory manifold. The other is a syle that the turbo sits higher on a new manifold like the turbo-glide system. Will turbo one fit on a left hand drive vehiche clearing the steering shaft and brake booster.

dude .. check my Turbo Setup thread .. mine HJ-60 LHD and use the U pipe like factory style .. with no issues ..

check with jan-78fj40 He had some minor itment issues with the high positioned turbo hitting the brake booster. I think he adresses these in his build up thread. I have a Safari turbo with the u-pipe, but I like the idea of the turbo mounting up high and draining into the side cover (as opposed to the oil pan) for ease of installation.

Yes, as David mentioned. The turbo glide hits the brake booster when going over deep bumps. there is only about 5mm space between the two.
The problem is easily solved by either bashing the brake booster cover in at that exact location (after heating it up), or using a FJ60 booster, which is smaller in diameter, but bolts up perfectly.

Thanks for the pic Topage. Is that a factory turbo? Did you make the U pipe. Do you see any issues with the side mount turbo system and a left hand drive . I can pick a complete kit for $900.00 CAD that is used.
 
WE have another HJ60 in the shop, pulled a ring up through the land into the combustion area, bounced around and pooched the cylinder badly.

This is the third HJ60 I have had with around 300K that has done this.

It's a KKK turbo 26/6 model something like a t3/t4 garret.

Yes I copy the U pipe from a dudes factory one ..

I have no issues with space .. pretty close to work with the U pipe bolts and need to make a flange to atach it to the stock exhaust manifold .. and need to resurface the manifold on the head side.

Side note: need to found the factory Toy 12H-T head to exhaust manifold gaskets ( metalic ) coz the back pressure blow the 2H factory ones.
