2H Frost plug

So I am trying to throw some type of engine warmer in my HJ60. I have a large lower rad hose... 2 1/2'' I think. I used some calipars to measure the outer diameter, and the biggest diameter lower rad hose heater I can find is only 2''. BUT I did find a 2H frost plug heater.

The question.

Is it easy to remove the frost plug?
How do I do that? (dude @ autovalue said chisle/hammer)
Installation seems easy enough, (place the heater in and tighten the screw)

How much coolant am I going to loose?

Ok.

So i searched a little harder this time and found a good thread on my questions.

Can someone (crushers) give me a better explanation on the best way of getting the air out of the coolant lines!
