Can any of the 24 volt parts from a 12H T be swapped out with the 12 volt ones from the 2H ?
Don’t mean to repeat a subject but I looked this up but did not see any thing on it.

The alternator and the starter can be swapped. Only the 2H mated to an auto tranny has a VSV to shut off, that also can be swapped. If it is an auto you're talking about.
The glow system is completely different between the two, so those can't be swapped.

Thanks, I was wandering if the 12HT could be modified to 12 volt through the parts from a 2H. I have the 12HT & H55 in my garage weighting for me to finish my 45 project and I am working on getting a hj45 now and was thinking maybe how hard it would be to switch. Should be a lot easier between the two diesels then it is the gas to diesel that I am doing now.

I could use some (spares) 24v parts....if your looking to get rid of them i/e starter, alt.

I tried putting a 2H alt on a 12H-T. Didn't fit. The alt and air vac pump are too long. They hit the turbo inlet duct.

A 2H starter bolts right up though.

I have a 2H alt and external reg. They are used take-out from an '84 Aussie HJ-60.

PM if interested.
