What is the recommended coolant for the 2F engine? Purple? Green? What are you running?

FSM just says the amount it takes but does not specifies type.

back when these engines were originally made there was only 1 coolant, green,
just mix 50-50 with distilled water and you'll be good

Straight water plus a bottle of Water Wetter works great. No mess when servicing the system, just drain on ground

old skool green premixed from NAPA. If you don't know what the PO used, its a good idea to have the system flushed.

Straight water up in the PNW calls for icing in winter months. I don't think the 2F likes ice

I am flushing it. Putting a new radiator in.

Plain old green here. From Napa, mixed about 50/50 with distilled water.

I think ~4 gallons.

Im also running napa green. Even though it might be a pain, mixed distilled water with it is a must!
