Any suggestions on who to get a good rebuild kit from for the 2f?

Pulled the engine today and will be assessing the damage in the next few days.

Thanks in advance.

Let the machine shop source the pistons and install the cam bearings and freeze plugs. I got the rebuild gasket set from Toyota.

For once I was smart enough to SEARCH before I posted. Any one else have ideas and sources ? I am gonna do the rebuild myself just send the block out for the machine work. I have done plenty of Fords but I cant seem to find kits for the Landcruiser. Any help would be great.

Well, you don't know what pistons you need until the bores have been checked and most reputable machine shops want the actual pistons in-hand before they bore the holes, so I say let the machine shop source the pistons. They will run about $300/set. I also had the machine shop source and install the cam bearings.
If you need a cam, you can order that from any autoparts store....about $200
I bought new lifters from CCOT on sale for $100, "high quality Japanese" or you could have the old lifters surfaced.
For gaskets I would go OEM, contact CDan for best price.
As to a "kit", I would be leery of them because you don't know who made what.
