What are you 2f guys doing for fuel pumps. I need (want) a new mechanical fuel pump but am having trouble finding one reasonable priced. The aftermarket mechanical pumps are not available it seems. I really don't want to go electric. I would like to stay original. This is a '76 FJ40. Anybody got any good sources on mechanical pumps or should I go electric (cringe). I think I can get an OEM but their near $200. Thanks.

Call Beno, if Toyota still has them they should be around $120. Otherwise your options are adapting a newer 79 plus pump, or NOS.

I bought a mechanical pump from cruiserparts.net for around $129 just to stick on my parts shelf for later.

Toyota MSRP is $164.18 (23100-61011) Someone is wooling you over at that price.
Smart shopper price is $123.14 + $2 or so for the gasket (90923-05019)
Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters usually has 2F mechanical fuel pumps in stock, excellent quality Japanese pumps at under $90.
