2f Engine Swap Issues (1 Viewer)

I need to swap engines in my 78 FJ40 and wondered which is easier....to pull with the trans attached or disconnected. What do you all recommend? Are there any other issues that need special attention here. I have both a toyota manual and a clymer so I can figure out the procedures. Any helpful tips from anyone? Thanks.

I would pull the engine alone.

there is no way to support the trans/trans case once the engine is gone, cause the bell housing goes with and the rear mounts are on it.....
Pull them as a unit, install same way.

I agree I broke apart my first removel ane install also left the bib on, Major PIA.

With out the bib they slide in and out much easier as one unit.
