Just a bit of knowledge that will never be used again....

The 2B bellhousings did not come with the bung for the OEM tach pickup as used on other B + H motors. We were going to replace the housing but we made it work.

I have PICs if anyone really cares but it is possible to line it all up then drill through the bellhousing. We used a pinion nut that jsut happened to be the correct threading for the pickup. The nut was welded over the hole in the housing then the pickup was threaded into the hole. We used washers to shim it to about .025 above the flywheel.

The cast iron of the bellhousing is of very high quality iron. We had no problem drilling it and were able to get a good enough weld to keep it in palce.

The BJ 41 is an albatross around my neck!

the 2h bellhousing is actually aluminum, I think. but maybe I remember wrongly-somehow it was extremely light in my memory.
