hi guys, im thinking of putting a 295/75/16 bF goodrich A/T tires my 2000 landcruiser. My question is im keeping the stock suspension, how will the ridebe and will i get any rubbing issues.?? How about gas consumption? if u have any pics.pls post..ty btw just want the looks with bigger aggresive tires,,ty

Most people go with 285/75, but you shouldn't have any rubbing issues with 295's. That's about as big as you can go though without any issues. I think with the 295's you will really feel the power/fuel economy deficit.

Rubbing at full lock as you go into driveways or up curbs with stock suspension. Gas consumption higher. Rolling mass increases such that you can feel power sapped and it rides more like a truck. That said, I'm on my second set.

Search for Equipt 100 series. Paul May runs that exact tire.

Search "equipt" in YouTube. His truck is in nearly every video they have.

I have that tire on my truck. Fits and looks good. If you are just after the look. Stick to 285.75r16. Slightly smaller will keep it feeling closer to stock quality ride.

If you are completely stock keep to 285/75R/16's. I have been running them on my 2000 for 5 years now. I have always had at least a 2.5" lift. I had "some" tire to frame contact in the rear of the wheel well on both sides. That was fixed by adjusting the turn stops.

Paul May (Equipt outfitters) switched from 315's to the 295's after, Scott Brady and I convinced him (ok.. maybe Scott had more pull than I) at the first Overland Rally in Hollister Hills a couple years ago.

I have 295 Hancooks MT's on one LC and 285 BFG AT's on the other.I know they are different tire co's and tread but the extra weight sucks noticeably more gas, is slower and the ride is not nearly as nice.

The height difference is not that noticable so you might as well just go with the 285s. I havent come across anything that the 295's could do that the 285's wont.

Take a look at my build thread. Lots of photos and blabbering about them.
