Hi, I have a 2000 LX470 with and OME 1.5" Medium lift kit, diff drop, SPC UCAs, full set of BIOR skid plates and BIOR sliders and OEM Toyota LC shocks. I'm currently running 265/75R/16 BFG KOs and everything is good. Will the heavier 285 KO2s be too much for my OEM shocks?

No, but new OEM shocks are ~$40 a corner

Thanks I had Lexus replace my OME Nitro Sport shocks (which were incredibly harsh) with OEM shocks about two years old and they are still working great. Was just wondering if they would handle the additional tire weight.

Thanks again

The shocks handle the weight of the truck not the tires, unless your putting them on the roof rack.

The shocks/dampeners also handles the tires aka unsprung mass.

I have 295/75/16 Toyos on stock AHC shocks and I'm sure its not ideal but it drives great compared to my 80 with 35s/OME setup.

Me bad, but I have never heard of anyone doing a damper upgrade purely on the unsprung weight increasing. But you learn new stuff

Not for an upgrade but the engineers at Toyota took it into consideration when they designed the suspension. Thats why I mentioned I did it without upgrading shocks lol.
