For paved road use I used to run the same size MT/R's between 35-40psi depending upon load.

35 Cold should give you a nice solid ride on the Highway once warm - but as Spress mentioned - it depends on the load you add. I think 30 is too low

I think 30 is low too. I run my MTRs at 40 on the street.

for best mileage on pavement go to the highest pressure you're comfortable with (but not more than max of course) and that won't overly wear the center (have a look and see if the sides still touch the ground). For long freeway drives, I've done 50 or 60 (if loaded) with the MT/Rs.

Here is an interesting thread from 6 months ago about D/E load rated tires.

Tire engineer from Bridgestone calculated 38 psi for my 285/75R16 Revos using the actual axle weights of the 100 and the tire load formulas. I've been running that since with perfect wear and a nice ride.

I would drop BFGoodrich a line and have them calculate the ideal psi for you or at least ask them to send you the load table for your tires (they don't seem to have them up on their website). To do that they'll need your tire info (Model and size) and the crusier's weight data (GVWR and the GAWR for each axle).

As always thanks for your help,I just put about 650 miles on my truck this weekend.Ran them at 40 and did fine, think I,ll try 38 dont know if it will really be a diff or not. Also threw a wheel weight about 20 miles into trip so had a little wobble but thats just my luck.

Thanks
