Is there a split boot available for our 100's?
Several years ago I noted that the CV axle boot was split wide open on my 2000 Isuzu Trooper.
Purchased clam shell boots, removed old split boot, cleaned off the old grease, regreased, and installed the clam boot.
Been fine for over 6 years now.

My clam boots were two halves that you glued together.
A little fiddley but I have seen boots where you only glue together one side.

Saved having to pull the entire Axle and having to install a Chinese-made one.
Not that I’m aware of, but OEM Toyota boot and grease kit for these CVs is only $55.

I think I paid the same amount for my split boots.
The only advantage was that I didn't have to pull the axle off to install the boot.

Hey everyone, I'm in the middle of installing my reboot kit, but am having some issues and need to run to the parts store to get some new/different clamps. Question is, is it possible for me to drive about 11 miles total using some plastic zip ties as clamps temporarily?
