Anyone have this setup? Looking for some pics to compare. I have a OME lift and 33x9.50's now, will I be fine clearance wise going to a 16x7 wheel and these tires?

With the OEM lift the 255s will fit just fine. The outer diameter is about 33", no need for pics. Just squint your eyes a little and image your 33 x 9.5s are about 10" wide:D. 255/85/16 is a good size with the OEM lift. I'm running BFG KM2s in this size on one FJ60 and the only aspect of the tire I do not like is their weight as they're a little heavier than say a 33 x 10.5 and knock down the mpg slightly.

Great response. I think I am going ahead with the 255/85. Thanks!

This is the setup I'm running. 255/85R16 Toyo MT's on 16x6 70 series steel wheels with an OME lift. The backspacing on the 70 series wheels is perfect for the 60, and they even look similar to stock 60 series wheels.

Edit: they are 16x6

This pick I'm loaded heavy for a recent road trip:

How'd those tires work/float on the beach? Compared to....?

Worked great. Didn't even air down and I spent several hours driving in both wet and dry sand that day. These are pretty nice on the highway and do great aired down on rocky terrain as well. They are load range E and handle my heavily loaded 60 no problem.

Where did you find the wheels? Nice looking setup.

New from Toyota. Onur sourced them for me. (thanks Onur).

OK how much were they? I would need six. Maybe too expensive to make the conversion from 15" wheels. Thanks

yes, how much? and part # if you have it! Those look great.

I think the run around $200 each give or take.

MDH33, This rim would be my 2nd choice for my 60; expensive but worth it in my opinion for OEM stuff. I have on mine OEM 15x5.5 white instead of chrome. These were 212.00 each for 5 of them.

Since I am at the point of replacing old 255/85R16 BFG KM2, I'm in the market for moment and having difficulty stopping my choice.

Althougt I was please with the KM2, I want something different. With more «sqared» shoulder. More stiff sidewall. Different behaviour on highway.

I procrastinate on diffent size... 33/10.5R15 but I do not want a C load range tire... then on 285/75R16 but my rims did not alow me to chose that size... 235/85 - 265/75 ... too small ... I finaly stay with 255/85.

I was very interest in the ST Maxx but this tire in 255/85 size is not particularly available in store. Special order only. This is a major concern for me 'cause if something happen... That whil take a long time to get another one for replacement.

I bought a set of Toyo MT (which I used to run for years on my ex-BJ70 and my BJ42). After all... I'm pretty confident in my choice.

... I'm very happy to see what it will look like on the MDH33 rig.

Part number 42601-60262-03

Correct. They were were right around $1000 for a set of five including shipping to my place of business.

BTW, although it is not the one shown on my pics, I paid +/- 80$ each back in 2005 at the dealer. My next 255/85 will be mount on these rims.
