First post so please be gentle.
I have a 1979 BJ40 from OZ which has a tired 12v B engine.
I have picked up a 1985 HJ60 donor vehicle which has a good 24v 2H along with a 5 speed, P/S and disc brakes .
I was advised to keep the engine 12v as the cost of buying all the 12v parts that I needed was excessive.
My question is how much of the Hj60 parts can I use?
Is the existing 12V wiring in the Bj ok to use?
Can I use the Hj engine mounts in the Bj as Hj47 ones are very hard to get here in Ireland.
Any information on pitfalls or links to information greatly appreciated as I'm bamboozled .
