I'm about to wire up my 12v stereo in my 24v Troopy. Already has a large 12v converter by the back door.

1) Can you use the chassis for ground on something powered by the 12v converter, or will I have to run 2 wires?

2) Would 24v from the back-up light (sensing for the reverse camera) harm the radio? Camera itself is 12v-24v.

Thanks,

JW

Between military vehicle, boating, and (finally) MUD forums; looks like the consensus is that one can ground 12v accessories to the chassis in a 24v vehicle.
