Anyone else from TN headed to TX next month? Erin and I are going to give it a whirl this year.

I imagine a bunch of the MS guys will go over, good crew. I went a few years ago and met some folks in Jackson area on the way over. Make sure and check out the steak place in the adjoining town (some miles away). There was one stretch of road on the way over in TX, where not too many gas stations were in the mix. ITs a buggy/40 type of trail (the rocks). You might want to confer with the MS club guys on best way over as they likely have been there many times.

We don't fit your TN criteria, but Carolyn and I are going again this year. Adam will be joining us too. Since we have Adam with us, we will be splitting the trip out into two days to see how he does with such long stretches on the road.

As Elbert said, the drive down to Llano for dinner at Cooper's is a meat lovers treat. Also FYI, the diner on the Mason square has good breakfast options. It has been a few weeks since we made our hotel reservations, but there were a few rooms left at the two hotels on the square.

See you there

Larry, you may not have a TN license, but your as close as one can get without one. I've heard the food options are great around. See y'all there.

Pre-Registration is closed.

On another note...

In light of the declaration by the World Health Organization that the COVID-19 is now a pandemic, we thought we should address it before the event.

We would hope that y’all have enough brains in your head not to show up if you are sick or exhibiting symptoms, or God forbid, have been exposed to COVID-19. However, if you do show up sick, we are gonna ask you to go home. No hard feelings, but none of us want that crap.

We know the dust out there can get all up your nose and make you sneeze. We hope you know your body well enough to know the difference between “snotty, dusty nose” and “holy crap! I’m getting sick.” When you snort out all that dust, please go back to what your learned in Kindergarten and cover when you cough or sneeze. Then wash your hands. Again.

We will have hand washing stations at the pavilion. We also bought a crap ton of hand sanitizer. Please use both liberally.

Yes, the passing of moonshine is a time-honored tradition, and this whole COVID-19 thing is putting a wrench in our drinkin’. Not to fear, we have purchased some teeny tiny solo cups that will be at the pavilion. BUT, you can certainly bring your own as well (supply is limited). We like sharing the shine, not sharing the virus. So please keep your lips off the mason jars. Actually, just keep your lips off of everything. Well, unless you are invited. 😊

Finally, while trying to do this with humor, we are serious. Be smart out there folks, for yourself, your family, your friends and you fellow Land Cruiser enthusiasts.

Thanks,

2020 Round Up Committee

I haven't been to Cooper's in a few years, it's a little rich for me (but extremely good), but I believe there is one in Mason now. No clue if it's as good as the one in Llano, but it's 40 minutes closer sooooo.....

Steve, The one in Mason typically sells out early and closes, so driving to Llano is the ready option.

We are happy to announce that registration from Round Up 2020 - Covid Edition has reopened! If you have already registered and did not notify us that you wanted a refund, we rolled your registration over. If the date change has made it so you can attend, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE. We will leave registration open until October 30th.

We are excited to finally be able to host Round Up 2020, even if it is later in the year. We all deserve a little R&R after the year we have all had so far. All that said, this RU will look and feel a little different than before, but we hope y’all were expecting that given the circumstances. Here is a list of some of the changes you can expect to see at Round Up.
• We will only have one included dinner. This will be on Saturday night and everyone will be required to wear a mask in line, when being served, and until you sit down and put your food in your mouth.
• Hand wash stations and hand sanitizer will be available at the pavilion.
• We will have a band on Friday night, social distancing is encouraged.
• The raffle might look a little different. We haven’t figured that out yet, but it’s hard to social distance 200 people under the pavilion. More to come on that.
• We will be complying with the Governor of Texas’ orders regarding outdoor events.
• Everyone should self-check before coming to the event. That means take your temperature and make sure you haven’t been around any confirmed cases of COVID.
• Everyone will be required to sign a COVID waiver or they can’t stay.
Some more logistics:
• Registration will be open on every morning (starting on Thursday) at 9am and we will be there through 5pm every day. Please be sure to wear your mask when you check in, both at the Park office and with LSLC.
• Friday the band will start at 7PM
• Dinner on Saturday will be served at 6PM and the raffle will follow.
• Our vendors and friends in the industry are sticking with us and we anticipate a killer raffle this year! Many are attending and will be around the pavilion to talk with you about their stuff. Please be courteous to them and practice social distancing.
We can’t wait to see y’all there!!!
