2020 LC Overhead button for door interior lights question - does pushing the button turn them off?

I noticed that when the button is pressed that when opening the door the interior lights don't come on; is that right? This is the opposite behavior of the other lights.

Yes, pushing the door button will disable the interior lights. I use it when it's dark and I'm going to be in and out of the truck multiple times and do not want the lights coming on.
