With 285s on TRD Pro wheels, your fender liners will absolutely require some persuasion. I don’t think heating and pushing them in will net you the clearance needed. I have not done a BMC, but I also haven’t had a chance to flex it out with my new wheels and tires.

Post some pictures of what you had to cut up. I’m really considering 275/70r17s but if it’s not too much to cut up I’ll get the 285s

Have to agree with the comfort level. My wife LOVE our road trips, either on pavement or off .

I'd probably have to agree with that, since our last 2 vehicles were both 100 series Landcruiesers. They were both very comfy and I liked the larger interior room, but not the over exterior size for off roading.
