Anyone know if this key fob for the 2020 will work on the 2016 LC200?

Mine does not have the power lift gate so I'm trying to find a fob without the lift gate button.

Think the one with the power door button is the only one you can choose if you want to keep the alarm Button. The install especially with the tape seems a little bush fix. But think that’s the only way to hold the battery in as the key shape is different.

Why would you want to change it? The newer is nicer looking but twice bigger. This thing is huge. That is why I have abandoned and now have the credit card key fob I keep in my wallet.

82SC and luke27617 - really appreciate the feedback. I was looking to change key fob as I’m not a fan of the cheap looking fob that came with the 2016. Trivial I know...I’m just not a fan.

Good to know on the size of the newer key fob. With the offers local dealers are throwing out for my 2016, I’m now contemplating upgrading the key fob and getting a new LC to go along with it

I bought one of the 3 button fobs, the newer style (just liked it better too) and apparently nobody can program this thing. Took it to my local Toyota dealer, they won't program a key from the outside, so I drove to the local Lexus dealer where a buddy of mine works, and it has a different number, so it is un-programmable. Trying to figure out what my options are from here...I figured if the Lexus credit card key would work, this should too...apparently I was wrong.

My 20 Cruiser key feels like it belongs with a kids toy. It’s embarrassing and the range is horrific.

I got mine from aliexpress. Of course it’s a knock off but it does it’s job.

There is a silicone insert that fits the old key fob hardware and it works great. So no more rubber band needed to hold the battery in like some of the older versions of this.

Also no reprogramming needed just need to swap the internals

I like it because it doesn’t look as cheap as the stock 17 key fob

It is slightly bigger and has a little heft to it which I actually prefer and harder to misplace

The rear hatch door obviously doesn’t work.

the key blank is 2 sided. Mine is one so that is a downside. I emailed the seller and let’s see if there is a solution to this.

I know there is a mudder here that sells a titanium and kydex key fob cover replacement looks a bit beefier and tacticool.
