Its been a long time since I have created a thread and dedicated time to it. I thought I remembered it being therapeutic to a extent. We shall try to revisit that.

Introducing my 2014 LX570. Bought with 170k miles on it. Have had FJC's, 100s, first gen tundras, a supercharged second gen tundra, vans etc etc blah blah - I have had a few different set ups to say the least and get tired of stuff fast. Normally I do buy cheaper stuff tbh....This being the first vehicle I have financed in 10+yrs. This will be a slow build on my end being I tapped myself getting it. I did however score some RW wheels I will maybe be getting redone, or not, but they need tires and mounting up. When I went and test drove this LX I fell in love......I did skip over some things I dont normally though. Mechanically, its great. There are however tons of small scratches in the paint that I am hoping to get buffed out with a ceramic coating. I did not notice the windshield was replaced at first and that the clips up top in the weather stripping are broke....that is something I will need to get to.

First up, test the new point and shoot I am trying to force myself to use instead of my phone...trying to disconnect myself from that but love photos. Dont want to carry photo stuff all the time...hence testing a pocket camera. These were taken on a sony zv-1

Next was getting the dogs, going for a ride out to checkout some local bison. See how it handles misc roads I have driven every other vehicle I have had a million times. To say I wasn't thrilled, would be a understatement. Only thing to make this be better is if it had the LKA and laser cruise control. However, I am afraid I would fall asleep. lol.

First on the list that day was scouting fishing spots off the Kankakee River. Got into fishing off my ebike alot last year, knowing my range and what I can pack has me wanting to take it more spots for stuff off of it. Helps when brush is down and I can mark my path or find a deer trail to follow, knowing it is probably going to be there when the brush is up as well. Dingo approved.

This is in the high position, I also ended up doing the sensor lift in the front only.....thats okay? I saw the rear can get some adjustment

To the Kankakee Sands Nature Area to enjoy some local bison. This area is so cool to me. Sure, its farm fields now....BUT at one time, the land that is now Kankakee Sands was part of the Grand Kankakee Marsh system and the home of Beaver Lake, then the largest lake in Indiana—7 miles long and 5 miles wide. It was a shallow lake, only 10 feet at the deepest, filled with vegetation and wildlife. The historical area has been referred to as “the Everglades of the North,” and there is a documentary of the same name describing the rich history of the land and the draining of the lake which took place in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

This was one of many small pull offs along the area thats runs adjacent to some hunting land.

Trying a random wide crop to replicate a cinema feel. All of these have been off that sony zv-1 for anyone who cares.

Woke up early one morning, which is weird considering I work nights now and normally sleep till 10-11am
anywhooooooooooooo
The dogs were itching to get out - off to the Indiana Dunes to beat the crowds of people who swarm there later on....so I thought.
No joke they had a national get together for cross country runners or something that morning...we get there and there had to be 100-200 people in every direction we wanted to go. Our luck.

Dog tree'd something. It was pissed. Couldnt see it but could hear it, so snapped a shot. Still dont see anything. lol

Tired and happy after chasing any and everything.

After dodging people and finding a spot to let the dogs out to roam a bit. I have one reactive dog I have been working with-but on leash she just seems so protective, not a bad thing not a great thing at the same time. I decided it was a backroads to home type of day....There is always interested decorations or lawn art that I hope to have one day myself when I buy some land.

This was pretty cool

Found my plate from my LS430 I had as well. Considering there is holes in my bumper but I dont want to free advertise for a dealer. I swapped it out for the time being. Saw a video of a guy flying a drone and driving his car. It had my inner stupid side intrigued. Granted most have follow features and what not...something about just doing it myself had me wanting to try.

Thats where this was made...resulting in me figuring out I was missing another piece of trim on my roof. That was my take away on this. lol

Not sure if anyone is looking. Tirebarn has buy 3 get one free on cooper tires. I've loved the at3 XLT the last few years and had the regular at3 prior and loved it. Was able to get a set of 285/70/17 at3 XLT for 1040 installed. Should be here next week and will be going on a set of RW wheels. Going to have my other set of RW done in a darker bronze and black ring I think. That way I can try the black ring on these oem colored ones and try the chrome on the bronze to see if one look is better than the other. Was thinking of doing the bolts black on the bronze wheels as well. Would be nice to see the reverse combo. To many options. Posts are dumb without photos so here's one from lunch after a meeting Downtown.

Buddy was at 4WP and found the 5x150 16" pro comp wheels for a steal. Told him to grab them. I knew they wouldn't fit the 200 but think they will fit a 100.

It clears everywhere....except the brakes. It doesn't clear. Lol.

New coopers should be here by the end of the week. Weather was nice so decided to switch to the RW with s*** tires just to rearrange the garage with the takes off.

Here's a shot of low. Neutral. High. Tires are very worn 285/70/17 for ideas. I did do the front sensor adjustment only. Not the rear.

New coopers came in, went and got them balanced and took a nice drive with the pups. Cant believe this thing rides even smoother

Visiting your neck of woods the woods in cp. awesome photos.
That IS my neck of the woods. Welcome. Came for the winter storm that they keep changing their minds about?

It is a great small town. Cool downtown area. We are visiting family.
Glad it still gives the small town vibe. As a native. Most of us are overwhelmed and pissed at all the houses they're building. Used to have woods and corn fields. Now it's cheap houses on cheap houses. Lol

Today it ended up getting into the negatives as far as the temp goes. Def have to block the radiator in these temps. Windshield defrost was having a hard time keeping up. Which. Is normal from what I found without it being blocked. My Prius need the whole radiator blocked in the winter

Went out with some buddies today. The lx is perfect in more ways than I could imagine. These rear mudflaps need to go ASAP though.
