My head unit randomly shuts off. If I pull over and restart the car it will usually come back on. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I've had the unit replaced by dealer and the problem continues.

does anyone have more info on this? Mine has done it twice now while driving, but comes right back on after it reboots its self

If it’s a factory unit it’s probably starting to fail though depending on your model year I think I’d read about some similar issues with some 2016+ Units.

Typically failures like this are a bad navigation drive I think but it could be corrupt firmware or something internal like a bad PCB connection or memory chips which generate errors

I would love to keep this thread going if by "head unit" we're referring to the radio. I haven't yet searched, but I'd be surprised if I am the only one having the issue I am seeing. Satellite radio and bluetooth are fine, but listening to FM for example, it'll just stop working unless I switch it to another mode. It comes back. Is it overheating?

It seems like the LC main head unit is turning off and back on right away once daily now. I came across this on a Tundra forum. Can our main units have an update downloaded to them?

Edit:

I also have three maintenance reminders up right now on the head unit when I start the LC up. I will delete them and see if that helps based on info from a Tacoma forum.

I hope this works and also helps someone else.
