Since Dobinsons springs (stock height and 1.75") are out until June / July now, I ordered some factory springs, new KYB shocks, and 1" rear lift spacers. All going in this weekend, finally. Wish me luck, I'll update when done.

Good luck, I hope you have the right spring compressor.

Yep, through a few good hours of research, this one seems to fit the bill (people say). My local AutoZone has a rental, so good to go - I hope.

I was an auto tech for a decade a few carriers ago, so one way or the other, they'll be compressed.

Good luck.

I was able to find a lightly used 1.75" dobi coil in SoCal.
Nice! I would have installed used if i could find them.

Yeah, it's been a disappointing experience. I worked directly with Dobinsons and called many of their vendors / distributers. Nothing available in the USA.

I WANT and NEED the dobinsions springs for my applications (towing) but they are just not available in time - I'll be towing my camper in April / May.

Got it done! Found out that BOTH rear coils were broken, that explains the heavy ass when towing. Check your springs!

Took about 3 hours to replace both coils springs, both shocks, and install 1" spring spacers. It looks amazing, I'll post good pics tomorrow in the daylight.

Using spring compressor OEMTOOLS Coil Spring Compressor 57035 (rented from AutoZone) is questionable. If I didn't have a few decades of mechanical and engineering experience, it would not have very been safe.

Unreal, I'm literally having the exact same problem with a '10 Sequoia I just bought, can't get it passed safety to register it because of a broken rear spring. Impossible to find 3rd party, Dobi's regular height are out of stock, I don't want to lift. A couple questions if you don't mind:

1. I'm finding the stock rear springs are VERY expensive because they're discontinued. $426CAD each. Where did you get your springs and how much did you pay?
2. Is it a must to change the shocks at the same time?
3. I'm in the same boat with respect to towing, I've got a smallish travel trailer (5000lb, 22ft) and don't want rear sag. Is that why you got the spacers? Which ones did you get and where did you get them from? Are you happy with the ones you got, would you recommend them?

I have stock springs in good condition with ~67k miles on it.

If you'd like I can sell them to you for $150 for the pair plus shipping. I am in San Jose. I think shipping will probably be pricey.

Sorry for the slow response, just saw this now.

Bummer you are in a stinky spot like I was - not fun. Sounds like we might be brothers.

1. I found the set of OEM springs online, here: Joseph Toyota in Cincinnati, Ohio. For some reason they were the cheapest and free shipping.

2. I say yes. The shocks need to be removed anyway, and are only $65 each. Since you tow, get new shocks. I found the KYBs were cheapest on amazon, here:

3. Yes, I wanted extra ride height. I also have a set of Timbrens installed. I am happy. I've already towed the camper and boat and it is all working well. here are the 1" spacers I used, amazon:
