I recently purchased a 2009 LC. One thing I'm pretty disappointed with is the user interface for the Nav system. As i understand it the maps can be updated with a DVD? (how do you do this?) but can the user interface be updated as well?

Also how do i get the XM radio to work. I see there is a button for it on the dash but it is not activated. Is there something you have to do to get this working?

Thanks

Congrats on the purchase.

The NAV update DVD can be purchased at the dealership (or Ebay). My understanding is that the NAV DVD can be accessed through the glove box, left side.

XM radio is a subscription service. Select XM in your LC, tune to channel 0, dial the number, and give them the radio ID and your payment info. The car needs to be on for about 20 minutes to receive the subscription update via satellite.

Hope this helps.

Does the Nav DVD update the user interface of the system or just update the maps?

I can not select XM on my system, There is a button on the dash that says SAT but the screen does not display anything, so there is no way to tune to channel 0. I think you have to have some kind of module to make it work?
