Greetings,
I am looking at a 2008 LX 570 (interior/exterior body look really good) But, here are the photos provided of the undercarriage. May I have members feedback as to whether this rust is worth the purchase, please.
150K miles
Mostly dealer serviced

Upper Midwest vehicle (I am in New England)
Thank you in advance and everyone’s feedback is much appreciated.

Current vehicle is 2008 Range Rover Supercharged (Full Size) with 134K miles (CA truck) - air suspension is killing me.

How much are they asking? Rust doesn't look good but there's been plenty worse. I think it would largely depend on the price. There are many more rust-free examples for relatively low dollars but I'd like context to compare.

Not to hijack but I just looked at a vehicle, not this one, and thought the rust was bad. NE as well.
For comparison

Thank you for response. Asking $23K

If he did buy it, what do u guys recommend to remediate the rust? Por15? Or?

I read here people use needle scalers to remove rust and apparently it works well. Use a phosphoric acid-based product to etch then POR-15.

Corroseal is excellent. Get off any scale and loose rust, soak in the magic juices and it will convert rust into a nice black base you can paint. Careful with POR15 as it can seal rust under it which will continue to grow.

All of that said, I would run as fast as you can from this one. That's not a bargain.

thank you for sharing, i appreciate the advice.

@pnmazza - I wouldn't touch that amount of rust with a 10ft. pole. If you're looking for a 2008, I test drove this one locally (no connection to seller) and it drives well. He is a MUD guy and has it listed for $20k.
