I've looked at a handful of these in my search. this one was definitely the best so far. Obviously a special order with the non-AHC and Black Garnet Pearl. It spent its whole life in Texas with complete service record and 2 owners. Looks to be in great shape, with no rust and minor body damage. The FCA dealer that has it in south Fort Worth, got it on trade in. Only issues I could find was a broken antenna, and the tilt on the steering wheel would not work. I was excited and came ready to buy but my wife said absolutely no "purple".

Someone needs to buy this!

I've not the best eye for color, but it's not purple. The touch-up of paint I've been working with is so cool a color. More like a deep but translucent ruby red.

Hey I'm with ya. I love it but my wife does not. I told her its like a red in the sun... blah blah not gonna happen haha

Not debating the color. I just want someone to buy this one. Its nice and I assume they'll send it to auction soon

Buy her a pair of dark ruby (large rubies) ear rings and it will be her favorite color.... LOL

Just playing with you;)

Yeah that last picture makes me want it bad. It requires a lot of light but wow that color is so cool.

Nice truck! Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear about your loss

I know that you already mentioned that it didn't have much rust but was that looking at it by crawling underneath or seeing it up on a lift?

I crawled underneath it. I've been looking at these for the past couple weeks, several being from the north east, and in the places that those showed rust, this one showed none. It also was not "re-coated" to cover rust. It looked like nothing more than being pressure washed, if that.

I see you're up in Norman. Did you see any of those ones they have up there at Thoroughbred Motors?

Love the color, FWIW I paid about the same for my 2006 Silver non-ahc 170k miles

Thanks for the info. I just happen to have the "hots" for black garnet pearl and have been looking for one to buy. I follow Dan's site (Thoroughbred Motors) pretty closely. He is a nice guy but his prices tend to run a bit higher than others you might "find", and he's less inclined to "deal" than your typical re-seller. If you ever spot one on his site that interests you, I'm happy to take a look at it if you'd like.

Yes he has a lot of them but the prices seem high.

This one down here has decent paint but I think they just washed it with no effort put into polishing or removing scratches.

Just buy it and tell her you clicked "buy" by accident. She'll learn to like the color. My :princess: loves my burgundy 80, and nobody likes that color

I was negotiating a deal on this from afar, I think you posting it here led to someone buying it out from under me. I curse you! I wish I had come here and seen someone had posted it on Mud, it would have prompted me to commit faster.

It was throwing three codes that would prevent it passing emissions inspection. Lots of scratches on paint as well. Carfax showed good mechanical maintenance records, no proof of timing belt service though.

I saw it had been done at 93K, but I can't remember if it was on the carfax or toyota owners website.
What were the codes? It makes me feel better walking away

P0456, P0441, P0455 . I don't think these are difficult fixes, but you could potentially try a few fixes that didn't work and it might end up a bit expensive. Gas cap, charcoal canister, purge valves all might be causing this. I was told it wouldn't pass inspection throwing those codes and that it is illegal for a dealership to sell a car if it can't pass inspection. Haven't confirmed that is true. I wish I had moved faster and bought it now that it is gone, they offered me an all in price of $15710 after TT&L. I have a built 80 and would sell it if I get a 100, and it's making it hard to pull the trigger since I do like the 80 - I just also like changing cars.

Hmm that would be good to know as I have a deposit down on another one locally
