2006 LC windshield trim (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Recently changed windshield. while doing that noticed the rubber trim that covers the rivets was not there. Ordered it and the two pieces have arrived.

I was hoping to see a thicker rounded rubber that I can shove in the slot but instead these trim pieces are thin. I am not sure how to install them.
Can someone help telling me which way and how these are installed? Possible a picture of them installed with closeup can really help.

After trying for half an hour i gave up on the molding that cover the rivets!!! The dude made it look so easy...

I believe it's oriented with the L portion up, and with the L open towards the windshield... if that makes sense.

It does and still I am finding it impossible to get it latched on to the trim on the upper side from inside.
