Hello, I'm new to the GXOR world, but not new to building performance vehicles!
I was shopping for a 4th Gen V8 4Runner last November to daily drive and occasionally tow my 240SX money-pit I have owned and daily driven since 2007.
After having a vehicle sold out from under me and several other 4Runner options fall through, I looked for GX470s in the area on a whim.
This one showed up with just under 169k miles, good maintenance history, and a decent options package so I grabbed it after a test drive.

As expected I couldn't leave it stock for long and already have a long list of maintenance and modifications.
I had a minor fender bender back in February and fortunately most of the damage was to the bumper cover along with some clips and minor supports on the front passenger side.
I worked on drift stitching it up with a buddy and replacing or bending a few minor parts back out. I'll rock it until it is time for a bumper upgrade!

Installed the hitch and LEDs, found a GX friend, added the wheels, and had my brother visit with his 2016 4Runner.

Smashed the bumper, pulled the running boards, trimmed and reinstalled them, trimmed the bumper, got the new tires, and stitched the bumper back up.

Here is how it sits currently. Waiting on some brake stuff to ship then need to figure out installation of that and the lift parts.

That looks great. I’m loving those wheels...sell them to me!!
Good job so far. The stitched bumper cracks me up!
Re KDSS, White Knuckle makes nice sliders for us, and the Lean Eliminator kit from Treaty Oak worked for me (but made it even harder to find and fit a front skid plate).

Quick update - Thanks to John @ Auburn Car Repair & Offroad for the install of the lift parts and brake upgrade.
We ran into an issue where the Firestone Coil-Rite bags I grabbed didn't fit the Eibach rear springs for this kit, but am going to try to find a set that will work.
I can confirm the Ironman KDSS panhard bar does fit correctly on the GX470.
I also got the windows tinted just in time for summer.

Parts list:
Eibach Pro-Truck Kit with Rear Height Adjuster
KYB strut mounts
SPC upper control arms
Poly Performance Taco Tabs alignment cam delete kit
Whiteline front inner lower control arm bushings
Treaty Oak Offroad KDSS Spacer Kit
Eimkeith Panhard Correction Kit
Ironman KDSS adjustable panhard bar

GX460 - Raybestos calipers front left and right - FRC12551N and FRC12552N
GX460 - EBC Brakes RK7578 RK Series Premium OE Replacement Brake Rotor
GX470 - Stoptech Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hose Kit - front 950.44507 and rear 950.44507
GX470 - Metaltech extended rear brake lines
Centric Fleet Performance Brake pads - front GX460 306.09761 and rear GX470 306.06060

Looks good! Do you think the adjustable panhard helps on top of the PCK? I did the PCK on top of the treaty oak spacers I put in last year, but the head of one of the friggin socket head bolts stripped trying to get it out to replace a fried KDSS bushing. I had to cut it off, and getting a replacement bolt locally has been a bit of a wild goose chase so far. The threads were so corroded it bound up, it was going bit by bit until about half way out and then I couldn’t get it to go in or out with any amount of heat or penetrating oil.

How has the rear suspension been performing? I already have the PCK installed, am going to install the Treay Oak KDSS spacers this weekend, and was looking at that Ironman 4x4 panhard bar.

It has been working out great so far. I took it out on the Avants Offroad course next to Dirtfish Rally School and had no issues.
Got a few battle scars on the rear bumper driving over a new obstacle they added!

I don't think the axle needed much centering with lift height I am at in the rear - around 3". The track bar length looks pretty close to stock when I eyeballed them next to each other under the truck. It definitely gives some extra clearance around the KDSS ram and link however. I tried to get some pictures of it.

Updates: I recently added a few cosmetic mods, installed Durobumps in front and a set of recovery points. I have been having fun with the Seattle Avants Offroad group and their offroad course over by the Dirtfish Rally school. Thanks to some of the club members that volunteered as spotters/photographers! I think some sliders and skids may be next on the mods list.
