2004 ktm 525exc - opinions? (1 Viewer)

A friend offered to sell me this bike. Hasn't been ridden in a few years so may need carb work or tune up according to him. Low hours I think not sure how to tell. It was dual sported and comes with lights, license and a steering damper. Don't know anything about these bikes and wondering what's a reasonable deal.

Not a bad but. If its in excellent shape even better. I always try my luck at low balling. Maybe offer him $1500 and meet him at or around $1700 final price. It's basically a motocross bike with headlights. Great for trails. Good luck.

I ended up buying it. Overall it looks nice and not banged up. I'm sure I'll fix that.
It has quite a few mods to it, though being unfamiliar with the bike I'm not sure what's what. Next to buy is something to transport it. Hoping to figure out something for the trailer hitch receiver on my FJ80. It's going to take some work to get it running again, it's been sitting (garaged) for a long time.
