This is a feeler thread. I am not 100% sure I want to get rid of this truck. I love it, bought from the original owner(old lady) garage keptc and its a great truck but 100 series landcruisers always catch my eye.

2003 tacoma double cab sr5 trd Clean clear title in hand.
169k on body 110k on motor. Toyota replaced EVERYTHING under the hood at 66k miles. The lady said she was driving to Walmart and the truck made a weird noise so she pulled over and had it towed to dealer. I think dealer screwed her over but either way $6500 later they installed a new motor.

Good shape couple dings but nothing huge or unordinary for the year. Runs awesome tranny and motor run around 190-200 degrees no matter how long you drive it. Consistent 17-20 mpg. All around awesome vehicle and like I said I still don't know if I can get rid of it but if a nice 100 series comes along I may.
3.4 V6 auto(all 1st gen dcabs are auto) 4x4 with j-shifter
Mods include 255/85 km2's, custom rear bumper, custom sliders, softopper, SAW coil overs, Dakar leafs, OME nitrocharger sport shocks, rare factory roof rack, grey wire mod

Trades: 100 series, maybe 4th gen 4runner, 80 series plus decent amt of cash
Mods are a plus, obviously the lower miles the better(sub 170k)

Where are you located? Any specifications about what you'd trade for? (i.e., max mileage, modified/stock, etc...)

Pm's returned and original post updated with more info.

Your going to miss that truck if you get rid of it...

4WD, double cabs are getting tough to find, and they are not cheap.

Good luck with the trade / sale.

You may be better off selling your truck first. You'll get top dollar for a 1st gen double cab.

I think you might be right, Went wheeling today and all day I kept asking myself why I was wanting to get rid of it. Wheels awesome, looks great, convenience of 4 doors and still the truck bed. I'm gonna think about it for another day or 2 and I may

Cash price?
There is a truck basically identical(4 door, silver,4wd and even same mods down to the softopper) to mine on expo portal and he's asking 20k his has a few less miles but his isn't a trd either.
If I were to sell id like to see 17,500 the way it sits. The tires are 5 months old, suspension is 4 months old, softopper, rear bumper and sliders are closing in on a year old and everything is in good shape. Has some pin stripes but nothing that won't buff out. All around awesome truck.

Yeah I really like the simplicity of trading but the frame recall really made the price of these trucks jump up. Which is fine by me :grinpimp:

Well after a wheeling trip on Saturday I really got to thinking about why exactly I wanted to get rid of this rig and in all honesty I couldn't really come up with a reason. So in light of that I'm going to keep the Tacoma. I'll just lust over 100 series on the Internet.

Mods feel free to delete this thread or it can just disappear into the backpages of mud.

Still loving 100 series so I'll bump this thread see if a nice built 100 offers.

Can't hurt.
