Can the nav system for the 2003 be updated with new maps.

Yes, there is an annual new release of the map DVD you can buy from the dealer. Be aware that it takes some number of years for new roads to appear. I wouldn't expect that 2 yr old subdivision to appear on the new DVD.

I'm still using the '03 version. Someone on club lexus bought the 06 version and said he knew the exact changes nationwide between that and his previous version. I'd try posting there .

in my 2003 i saw immediate differences when i upgraded from the disk that came with my system to the new maps.

I can't imagine it's worth upgrading for the roads. Maybe for businesses info if one uses that...?

My dad just bought the upgrade and most of the major construction finished withing the last three years in st.Louis was missing. I am sure it depends on where you live. Just ask yourself if it is worth the 275.00 ? if so, sell me your 2003 cds and I will give you $50.00, just make sure you ask, other wise the dealer takes them.
