2001 LC Sound System Upgrade Options (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I have a 2001 LC and my speakers are very shot. Need a serious sound upgrade.

Not looking to spend a ton of money, but just enough to get a solid upgrade above the stock sound system.
I would like to keep the factory Amp.
I also have a Sony XAV-1000 installed in lieu of the stock stereo.

I read this writeup recently and I'm a fan of the work OP did, however, the speakers linked are out of stock everywhere and I'm also not sure how those speakers would fare today.

Has anyone done a full sound system (w/ stock Amp) overhaul in their hundo that would be willing to write up how they did it and what parts they used? Or just some tips really. Looking for anything that will help me in the confusing world of car audio.

Crutchfield is probably your best bet. Just plug in your vehicle and it will give you different options for each of the speakers.

I replaced the whole system in my LC, so you'll probably want to use the "chat" system to ensure you get ones w/ the right ohms, etc.

But you should find something in your price range.
