2000 Tacoma 2wd single cab value (1 Viewer)

I know a guy who is willing to sell his '00 Tacoma 2wd single cab. It has 240,000 miles. No idea what tranny it has, or if its got the 2.4 or 2.7. It seems to be in nice shape, havent got up close to look at it yet. I think he maintained it pretty well. Heres the kicker....its been sitting on grass for at least 2-3 years. Not sure on rust, definitely want to look hard at that. Apparently it "ran good when parked", not sure why it was parked though. I would count on all new fluids and filters if I got it after sitting that long. Not sure what the tires are like, but it quite possibly will need new ones. Also, here in OK we have the pleasure of needing to pay back taxes on the titles as it hasent been registered in 2-3 years. Thats $100 bucks a year approximately.

He wants $1,000. Firm. Does this sound reasonable? I would be buying to fix for a daily driver. Sorry but I have no pics.

Driving & $1000 and not drivable & $1000 are two different things.

If it's not running, Add $300 for back taxes + $200 in fluids + $400 in tires + not knowing what's wrong which could be as simple as a battery to a new motor/trans, etc and it hardly seems worth it for a 17 year old base model truck.
