Purchased in 2010 with 127K on the odometer. 195K now. At some point before I got it, the PO installed a new radiator. I installed a B&M trans cooler in series shortly after I brought it home. This has been a very reliable truck, well-maintained by me and the local Toyota dealership.
- Millennium Silver SR5 Sport, blue cloth interior in great shape (seat covers in front)
- Full factory skids... Front, tranny, gas tank
- Paint is in great shape. I keep a clean vehicle in and out. Wax once/year
- Seats are in great shape, driver's bolster and fabric is intact (see pics)
- Rubber mats all around + Weathertech cargo area cover
- WAAG front grille (no wings) with Bosch halogen Baja lights
- J-shifter works fine (2H, 4H, 4L), but rarely used
Major work:
- 140K: Installed 231mm front Tundra calipers and Brembo rotors
- 155K: Installed new front sway bar end links
- 155K: Installed ceramic front brake pads (lifetime warranty)
- 168K: Changed timing belt, drive belts, water pump, thermostat
- 170K: New rear axle seals, rear brakes, and brake lines (dealer service)
- 175K: Starter contacts replaced (dealer service)
- 185K: New fan blower and resistor
- 186K: New NGK plugs
- 6,000 miles on a set of Cooper Discoverer ATPs, 265/70R15 ($940)
- Replaced spare tire (like new steel rim and slightly used Michelin)
- Muffler replaced about 2 yrs ago... Thrush Turbo, sounds good!
- New OEM rear shocks
Other stuff:
- 5K oil changes with Castrol GTX and Toyo filters
- Roof crossbars replaced 11/2015
- Replaced rear hatch struts
- Regular cleaning of MAF, air filter replacement
- Replaced bulbs in center stack so I can see the buttons at night
- Installed Scion Pioneer HU and added Bluetooth for music streaming
- Key fob but I never use it... reprogramming is a biatch
- No cracks in glass, all windows and sunroof work
- Leather steering wheel in great shape, as is dash, center console
- Headliner is in great shape
- No suspension work (Note: SR5 Sport comes with Limited 17" wheels)
- Various bulbs replaced: fogs, headlights, license plate, turn signals
- 2" hitch
- No accidents, no smoking, no pets, no off-roading
- Fully intend to clean the interior before sale, ran out of time this weekend (plus UNC basketball)
The bad...
- There is beginning rust on undercarriage, see pics. Not hiding anything. NC is humid, truck is always parked outside. After taking pics, I wire-brushed everthing I could reach and sprayed the entire undercarriage with 2 cans of Fluid Film to arrest the rust. Wish I'd heard of this stuff 5 years ago.
- Right rear ABS sensor frozen so ABS is off
- Rear diff lock has never worked. PO never used it and it's frozen.
- Body is in great shape, minor scrapes on one flare and dents in rear bumper from backing too close to stuff (daughters!). Front bumper chipped but not dented.
- Antenna won't retract (normal), broken when daughter took it through auto-wash
I love this truck, always have. Had it and a 2000 Limited at the same time and sold the Limited instead. My wife has determined that we need a better road-trip vehicle over her '06 Highlander so I found a 2012 Limited. 3rd gen has to go. I was more than willing to drive it for another year but she's the boss.
I'm in Hillsborough, NC which is about 30 minutes west of RDU airport. Closest "big" town is Chapel Hill.
Asking $7500 for a well-maintained Sport, never off-roaded or taken on the beach.

Still working on getting this decal off, gently...
