I need to replace the starter motor on my 2000 LX470 and I am having some problems narrowing down a part number.

Part Number: 28100-50070-84

Part Number: 28100-50101-84

Part Number: 28100-50100-84

All seem to show fitment for the 2000?

I'm curious what the indications of failure are? They are kind of a bear to get out from what I understand and always wondered how I'd know if that project was imminent.

28100-50100-84 prod dates 2000-03 to 2002-08

According to my parts catalog. Vin # or production date of vehicle is needed to figure out correct part #
