Close up of the weathermaster, these were the follow up to the rk3 in the early 70's. I think the yokohamas are great and its a radial. Mark , can you get a tread shot for comparison.

Both your 45s are really nice.

Thanks, it was a long wait. Now my friends think I have a FJ45 & FJ40 FST problem. Is that possible? Two of each! Soon to be just one 45.

Can you have too many?

image.webp I sourced a set of troopy soft top bows and thought I would try them on the 45 pickup. They fit surprisingly well and will be fitting a canopy at some point. I think the bows just give it the african safari look!

Skip, they are very rare, i actually bought a complete factory soft top troopy in australia and had the bows and top sent here. The troopy was pretty beat up and i think the owner scrapped it? You can source fj40 bows and put something together. I just got these after a 2 year shipping drama!!

TNX for the reply, and the answer doesn't surprise me at all. Sometime when our paths cross I can get some detailed pics of the structure with measurements and have Luke up here at 4X4 labs bend up some tubing pieces for me. I have always liked the canvas backs on any Toyota's. Had a mini truck with a FB in the past with one and for sure I will have one for my 45 eventually. Best Skip

Going camping!! Got back on sunday, rig did ok unless there was any incline, the old f didnt like the hills! It was only 20 miles to beach campground. Pretty much talked to campers all weekend about my cool safari truck!

I grew up camping in the same exact trailer, got it from second owner, guy kept it in the garage for 15 years! Could I make it to the campsite?

I was kidding! As easy as the trail is, the trailer would most likely suffer damage.

you could get the bows from realsteel. A set for a 40 is $995. So, I'm guessing you could get what you need for around $1300-$1400. Marshall (Trollhole) on mud can do a high-quality replica as far as canvas. He does amazing work; high-quality canvas, zippers, windows, etc. I believe he did one for around 1400-$1500 already?
