Can anyone confirm if these gas trucks have rear main seal issues? I have seen it in other cars in the past but do not know if these trucks are known to have this issue.

Never less At 95k it sound unusual that the clutch disk would fail so early. Which brand of clutch disk and pressure plate are installed on this truck? Its also a good chance that the rear main seal is leaking. Check your PVC system of the remote chance that its plugged and that is is forcing oil out the rear main or worse yet, it popped the seal. If thats the case there would be a puddle of oil on the ground where the transmission and engine meet but not always. Getting oil onto the clutch disk would cause it to slip and cause small hot spots on the flywheel. Those hot spots harden the steel and help contribute to slipping. After having removed the clutch disk and pressure plate have the flywheel turned. Be prepared to wait it out for the shop to find a new flywheel if none are available in the event the amount of metal to be removed exceeds the min thickness of the flywheel.

Lastly was this truck ever used to tow anything? Do not know if that would be a contributing factor.
