I am looking to swap a 1kz te and a r151 into a 94 pickup with a 22re and w56 trans other then the obvious trans and motor what all would be needed to make the swap how hard is the wiring and could I retain my stock gas tank and info would be much appreciated

If I were doing another Diesel swap I'd do a VW TDI of some sort. I've been eyeing the 3.0 V6 out of a Toureg. Several folks on here have done the 1.9 and 2.0 TDI's (I4) in their 40's. Look at fjdiesel's build or Godfather90's build for starters. I'm happy with my 1KZ-TE but I have the ability to tune it. I have some issues to deal with before I'm going to be getting the mileage that Godfather90 is getting and maybe not even then. Some folks have also gone with the manual pump from a Mitsubishi or the 1KZ-T to allow tuning. Others have just adjusted the spill valve on the 1KZ-TE pump. Read up on some other swaps to answer your specific questions. Its all been done before!
